Who We Are
Murphy Meadows is a little 5 acre homestead located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The farm was built from the ground up by couple Chris and Katie Murphy. Their ultimate goal is for self sufficiency, sustainability and to grow high quality, organic market goods.
Since the 1800’s the area had been farmed continuously creating malnourished soil. After purchasing the property in 2021, the Murphy’s quickly went to work on transforming the land, utilizing rotational grazing methods as the foundation for returning it to lush and healthy soil.
What We Do
We produce high quality poultry and Katahdin sheep based on performative traits to thrive in the extreme Northeast Texas climate.
We raise a variety of heritage breed birds that very in size and delicious, complex flavor.
Our registered Katahdin flock has a variety of valuable traits. Some of their traits are parasite resistants, strong mothering instincts, and twinning in lambs. Our lambing takes place in the spring, stay tuned for our 2024 lambs.
